The benefit of Virtual Library System:
- easy to find the specific books
- save time to get the exact books
- use less work energy
- do not need space to store the books
- no need of librarian to rearrange the returned books
- to prevent the books from stolen by irresponsible user.
- if user notice that the books are located in the virtual library system, they confirm to get that books.
- easy to detect the user that failed to return books back, and they will be on time and the
- system will automatic block their borrowing pass card
- borrowing system is more effective than the classic one
Why we want to replace the classic method with this system?
- hard to find the specific books
- hard to locate the location of the book
- to make sure the user will get the books which is they wants.
- to ensure lessuse of librarian's help to find the books
- the use of electronic system
Comparison of classic system method between Vibrary:
- Classic system : (manual)
- Go to main counter; meet the librarian to find code and its location.
- Go to the location
- Search for the specific books based on code.
- Go back to counters for borrowing process
- Enjoy reading
2. Virtual Library System (Vibrary)
- Go to kiosk machine and key in the required keyword for the specific book.
- If books are available, click confirm to borrow it.
- Enjoy reading
The Vulnerabilities of Virtual Library System:
- user cannot use this service if blackout/power shortage is occurred.
- time wasting, if too many user want to use the system in one time ( during peak hours ).
- unemployment.
- database invasion/sabotage.
- maintenance costs that exceed the cost of labor.
